Women's Health Doctors & GPs
Globe Medical is lucky to have several doctors who are highly trained and experienced in women's health. They are also very approachable and comfortable about discussing personal issues that may be troubling you. Problems that may seem exceptional to you, they have no doubt come across many times before. Where specialist advice is needed they will refer you to the most appropriate specialist.
Dr Jane Allen, Dr Alicia Siggs and Dr Elaine Powell are all trained in Implanon insertion and removal (implanted contraceptive device). You will need an initial appointment to discuss the procedure so that sufficient time is then allocated for the procedure. Our doctors also prefer to check that the method is suited to you before embarking on it.
Dr Jane Allen also has training in the use of the Mirena intrauterine device. They will discuss this method with you and whether or not it is your best option.
Shine SA (www.shinesa.org.au) have an excellent website for more detailed discussion of sexual health issues and contraception choices.
