Consultation Fees
Globe Medical is a private billing practice. Consultation fees will depend on the length and complexity of the consult. Medical consumables associated with the treatment provided will attract a separate fee. All outstanding accounts are to be settled at the time of consultation.
UPDATE - View Fee Changes starting August 2022.
Medicare Patients and
International Students
Medicare, DVA and international students with a valid insurance policy with Allianz Global Assistance, AHM, Bupa, Medibank Private and NIB may be able to claim a rebate (a portion of the full fee), which can be processed at the time of consult. Medicare patients should expect to pay a gap of $44 for their consultation ($24.20 for students and eligible Australian concession card holders).
If you are an international student, please bring your valid OSHC member card and photo ID to the appointment, so that we can directly bill your insurance provider. This means you will only be asked to pay the co-payment ("gap") amount, following your consultation with the doctor. This is possible because we have direct billing relationships with the major OSHC insurers. Our direct billing OSHC partners are Allianz Global Assistance, AHM, BUPA,Medibank Private and NIB. This means the most you will pay on the day will never be more than $24.20, for any length of consultation.
International Travellers and Workers
International travellers and those on working visas are required to pay the full consultation fee, however all or a portion of this fee may be claimed through travel insurance.
Travel Consultations
Travel consults attract a $35 gap payment. You will be asked to pay for the full consultation fee at the time of your appointment. Using our Medicare Easyclaim system, we are usually able to process Medicare rebate claims at the same time; preventing you from having to line up at Medicare. There may also be additional costs associated with vaccines and medical consumables purchased on the day.
Medical Assessments
Employment Medicals, Drivers Licence Medicals and Diving Medicals cannot be claimed by private health insurance or Medicare.
Accepted Payment Options
