Social Media Policy

This policy governs the use of all Globe Medical (Australia) run social media channels and all social media channels run by Globe Medical (Australia) on behalf of its licensees. 

Globe Medical (Australia) Pty Ltd provides and oversees a number of social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Flickr, Google+ and YouTube. 

Globe Medical (Australia) encourages posts on, and interaction with all Globe Medical (Australia) operated social media channels. 

Globe Medical (Australia) will monitor the social media channels regularly, but will not necessarily respond to every comment.

Globe Medical (Australia) in no way guarantees that any information presented on its social media channels is accurate or up to date. Users should note that Globe Medical (Australia) does not guarantee that any link provided on any social media channel is free of viruses, bugs or any other malicious properties. 

Globe Medical (Australia) will not be held responsible for any inconvenience or loss caused by any interruption to any of the social media channels. 

Opinions and comments posted on Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels are those of the authors and do not represent the opinions of Globe Medical (Australia) in any way. 

Globe Medical (Australia) will not respond to questions of a medical nature, and will never offer advice or diagnosis via a social media channel. If users have a medical issue, they should consult their regular medical practitioner(s). 

In cases of medical emergency, users should seek emergency medical assistance immediately.

Use of a Globe Medical (Australia) social media channel does not create any form of relationship between the user and Globe Medical (Australia). Furthermore, use of a Globe Medical (Australia) social media channel does not create any relationship between the user and any medical practitioner or other  healthcare provider working with Globe Medical (Australia) or that is associated with any Licensee of Globe Medical (Australia).

Globe Medical (Australia) will not be responsible for any action taken by the user in response to information viewed on a social media channel operated by Globe Medical (Australia).

Users may not make commercial use of any information gained from one of the Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels.  

Any communication that users post on a Globe Medical (Australia) social media channel is considered to be non-confidential.

Users are solely responsible for their own communications and the consequences of posting those communications. 

Globe Medical (Australia) does not assume any responsibility for the consequences of any communications posted on  Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels. 

Users shall not:

  • Use any of the social media channels for any purpose in violation of local, state or national laws;

  • Post material that will infringe on the intellectual property rights of others or on the privacy of others; 

  • Post material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or embarrassing to another social media user or any other person or entity. 

  • Post business advertisements;

  • Impersonate another person;

  • Restrict or inhibit any other person from using or enjoying the Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels, or, expose Globe Medical (Australia) or any of its customers or suppliers to any liability or detriment of any type.

  • Globe Medical (Australia) reserves the right to delete comments that are of a personal nature, offensive, abusive or could be construed as spam or advertisements for commercial products. 

All social media channels operated by Globe Medical (Australia) are open for public viewing. Users should not post personal information on the social media channels as this information will not be subject to any Globe Medical (Australia) privacy policy. The user assumes all privacy risk associated with posting on a social media channel. 

Globe Medical (Australia) may block a users access to all Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels where the user has violated any term within this policy. 

Globe Medical (Australia) reserves the right to report any serious breach of this policy, or breach of Australian law, to relevant authorities. 

By viewing, posting or in any other way utilising any of the Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels, you agree to be bound by this policy. If you do not agree with any of the terms in this policy, then do not access any of the Globe Medical (Australia) social media channels. 

Globe Medical (Australia) reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
